Amélia Siegel Correa holds a Ph.D in Sociology from the University of São Paulo, concentration area in arts and culture and before joining the Global Europe project, worked as a research fellow in gender studies at the Department of Sociology of the Federal University of Paraná, with a research about woman photographers in Brazil. Between 2011 and 2012 she was Director of the Art Atelier and Research Department at the Alfredo Andersen’s Museum in Brazil. She teaches Sociology and Art History in under and post graduate courses. Some publications include Alfredo Andersen: retratos e paisagens de um norueguês caboclo (2014) and Mulheres, Homens, Olhares e Cenas (2011)  Amelia will be conducting  fieldwork in Brazil for the Global Europe Project.
